Common questions
How do I unlock my apps?
Open Claim while a lock is active and start the ritual: say your affirmations out loud and the apps unlock. If you genuinely need an app right away, use Emergency Unlock on the lock screen — a quick triple-tap that always works, no questions asked.
What if speech recognition isn't working?
Claim's speech check runs entirely on your iPhone. Make sure Claim has microphone and speech recognition permission (iPhone Settings → Apps → Claim), that you're somewhere reasonably quiet, and that you speak the affirmation roughly as written. Emergency Unlock is always available as a fallback.
Why did my apps not lock (or unlock unexpectedly)?
Blocking relies on Apple's Screen Time permission. If iOS revokes it (this can happen after a restore or settings change), open Claim and it will guide you to re-enable it. Check that your routine's schedule covers the time you expected, too.
Does Claim see which apps I block, or hear my voice?
No. Your app selection is kept by Apple's Screen Time technology in a form Claim cannot read and it never leaves your device. Your voice is processed on-device and never recorded or transmitted. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Premium is billed by Apple. Cancel or change it in your Apple ID subscription settings or via Settings → Manage Subscription inside Claim. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are issued by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently erases your account and all synced data from our servers. Data stored only on your iPhone is removed when you delete the app. You can also email us and we'll delete your data for you.
How do I restore Premium on a new iPhone?
Install Claim, then use Settings → Restore Purchases (make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you bought with). If you use a Claim account, signing in also brings back your affirmations, routines, and progress.
